Hi, I'm Jason, and I've been involved in creative art & design since youth and landed my first gig at age 15 as a graphic designer – designing layouts and preparing separations by hand. At age 17 as an isometric illustrator for Whirlpool, I designed product assembly guides for oven assembly lines – my initial experience with the concept of designing for the user. Ever since then, every stop along the way has had something to do with creative thinking, visual design, user experience and a hands-on approach to getting things done for the better of the end user.

I studied design at the Savannah College of Art & Design, graduated in 1997, and have been involved in digital and visual design in one form or another my entire career. With a strong foundation in creative, print and web design, I naturally migrated towards the practice of UX as a field, not just a product feature, with the realization that no design solution, no matter how visually appealing, is successful if it doesn’t appeal to the user on another level. As a UX and Visual Designer, I have a passionate interest in designing solutions that are truly intuitive and engaging digital experiences.

Throughout my career I have worked as an Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Front-end Developer, Assistant Marketing and Creative Director and Director of User Experience. I have been employed for 20+ years by one of the largest mortgage technology providers in the country and have freelanced and consulted with local as well as National clients. One thing I love about what I do is being involved in the solution process end-to-end. No matter what level of expertise you’ve achieved or years of experience you have – there is always more to learn and being hands-on and in the weeds is the best way to do it.
